I ❤️ TRANS: Tabloid Fantasy Beach Party (Berlin, May 28 2025)

Who is I ❤️ TRANS? We are a collective of close friends, clubrats, musicians, and artists, all of whom are trans and all of whom have ideas for how to make the Berlin queer club scene more approachable and fun, especially for trans people. We all love clubbing, we all love dance music, and we all want to create the kind of party that has wholesome vibes and good music that is fun to dance to and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The first event organized by I ❤️ TRANS is happening on May 28, at Acud Macht Neu, Berlin. It will be a tabloid fantasy come true, a 2010s beach party with paparazzi, beach umbrellas, whale tails, and bikinis. It’ll be sexy, bright, loud, exuberant, sweaty, and very very cute. We are working night and day to prepare the first edition of I ❤️ TRANS, and we will be working on future events very soon as well.

There will be an all-trans lineup, including sets from some amazing DJs such as Isaka, a hybrid set by our own hyperpop princess Amy Crush, and a few nice surprises along the way <3
This party is by the trannies for the trannies, but we welcome all kinds of people. Straight people, queers, and FLINTAs who are down with the tslurs - anyone who likes good music and cute vibes. Bring your sugar daddies and your rich friends. Bring your German roommates and your mom. Bring Florian. But just make sure Florian is down with the trannies.
The party began as a way to raise money for a surgery fund of one of our members, but we quickly realized that we found ourselves in a unique position of being a completely trans-organized party collective in a city that rarely offers parties for trans people by trans people. Despite Berlin’s reputation as a queer oasis, the experience of trans people navigating the queer culture scene here is most often disappointing. We want our party series to stand in stark contrast to the exclusionary and often bioessentialist and transmisogynistic tendencies of many “FLINTA” spaces and parties, to center and prioritize trans people, and to do so in a way that is accessible to the most marginalized of us (and affordable for all).
We also wanted to create an event series that unambiguously supports the Palestine liberation and resistance movement. Palestinian liberation is near and dear to all of us and we are constantly frustrated at the apolitical, ambivalent, or actively repressive nature of the vast majority of Berlin club events and queer spaces.
For us, the most important thing is the establishment of a recurring event series that can become a kind of home for trans people in the club scene here. The first edition is specifically a surgery fundraiser party, and we want to continue the donation aspect as a recurring part of the series as well. We love the idea of gaining enough traction to have regular events that can raise money for those in the community who need it, and maybe - just maybe - having some kind of larger effect on the direction of the queer scene in Berlin as well <3
