Academically Spiraling

What is education? How does it connect to notions of wisdom or academia? Is the academic sector what it portrays itself to be? Or is it a mere industry normalising spending a fortune on a degree that won’t even secure you a position at your local café? What role does knowledge play in education? Do we over-intellectualise problems that could have simple practical solutions? What role does colonialism play in the way we learn? What’s the truths we were sold?

We welcome accounts of students, teachers, and researchers about their own experiences with education, as well as any essays and articles on a topic relating to anything to do with education and knowledge. Wanna share your amazing / awful / underwhelming / overwhelming experience with a university? Wanna share how you cope with studying? Got any advice for freshers? Have some reflections on what doesn’t work in how we learn? We want to showcase many different opinions, and together create an ongoing discussion on how to approach knowledge, and use it for us - not against us.
